Line-up complete – Jacek joins on samples & synths

Sceptocrypt is known for always having a keyboardist as a regular band member, an addition we find elevates a live performance more than just playing to backing tracks. After a good while searching, and having been trying ideas with him for a couple of months, we announce you the latest to our camp – Jacek!

Dedicating his life to a triumvirate of passions in the form of music, writing, and cooking, Jacek knows that music, like literature, won’t be good unless it has flavour.

His musical journey began with the bass guitar, to which he devoted his life for many years playing with several bands and recording guest bass lines back in Poland. He then went on a short hiatus until he re-settled himself in London, but is now back with renewed energy and curiosity.

Initially playing bass for 2 years with London band Voodoo, he now turns to a new instrument. Discovering it the same way he discovered the bass guitar – a friend asked if he wanted to try it, and Jacek saw the Ferrari and was curious to drive it!

In his writing, Jacek loves to combine vivid descriptions with humour and rhythm. So as the final piece of the puzzle that makes Sceptocrypt, he aims to enhance our sonic narrative by adding a backdrop that underscores the lyrics’ meaning.
