This Odometer Syndrome

And here it lands! “This Odometer Syndrome” a preview single from the full album Sceptocrypt is working on.

This preview put together in 2025 by Pawel (vocals), Malcolm (guitars & backing vocals) & Skyler (bass, FX & drums), the final product will include new vocal takes, new drum takes and additional samples (thanks to new bandmembers Mark on drums & Jacek on samples who both have been contributing heavily to shape the new Sceptocrypt beast.
If you like what you hear, expect more ferocious vocals, more hard-hitting drums, more modems & telephones, and a hell lot of industrial noize!

But maybe you keen to catch on how “This Odometer Syndrome” – and more songs from this upcoming album – sound with a full line-up?

Then come check us live at our two festival appearances, Dark Clouds over Camden (06.02.26, London) and Grim Reaper (09.02.26, Malta). More info at www.sceptocrypt.com/live-shows

Now to the song concept.

Do you recognize the voice of the opening sample? A vicious man that was ousted by his own! Manipulation is always followed by tribulation.

In “This Odometer Sydnrome” we start off with a speech by Zee Man who cannot Schpeak Zenglish himself, to then put him in a corner as we introduce the line “Stay calm and listen to Sceptocrypt”.
Moving on, we look at nowadays’ society being so tech-dependent, as we reflect on all the wrongs that could occur if we forget the human touch.

Lyrics penned back in 1999 by ex-vocalist Conrad Borg and current guitarist Malcolm Callus, it has been revisited by Malcolm & Pawel in 2025.

When all is said and done, stay calm and listen to Sceptocrypt!
